Today the Victorian Team that will travel to Sydney to contest the National Championships got together at the High Performance Centre for State Team Training. It was a good opportunity to train with my teammates and get an idea of where the team stands for the upcoming competition. It was also an opportunity for the younger boys to mingle and observe how the seniors go about their training and competition.
With less the two weeks to go the team is starting to bring things together and altogether its looking promising. Lots of big skills are being performed and all the boys are cleaning up their routines for competition. There is still some time to go and I’m sure there will be more improvement to come from the whole team.
A big thanks to all who were and are going to be involved with the organisation of the whole team, from the coaches to the chaperones and the judges. I’m hoping for a great Nationals and some success coming Victoria’s way. Remember the senior competition will be happening on the 24th and 26th of May in Homebush Sydney, so if you have some time on your hands come along and witness some of Australia’a finest gymnasts in competition.
